  1. I got advice for my blog that never would have even come to mind. Also I got to learn how to implement some things into my blog that I didn't know how to do before.

  2. The most useful thing I got from this workshop was the positive feedback I got on my voice or brand. I was really unsure about my writing and whether it was the right direction for a blog, but hearing that it was good and that I should continue that voice throughout the blog was really helpful.

  3. The most useful thing that came from the workshop was definitely the layout issues we covered. I know I had a lot of stuff to fix in the "body" of my blog but I didn't know how to do any visual edits. Now I have a much more fitting background for my blog and was able to add a picture of Beyonce too.

  4. Getting to discuss my idea and make sure that I was headed in the right direction was very helpful. My group liked my blog and idea which was good to hear. They gave some solid advice about layout and how the blog looks such as how to make it easier to read and nicer to look at.

  5. I think the most useful thing was bringing in notes before the class and then being able to discuss the notes with the other group members. It was nice to get instant feedback and ask the group questions and get their opinions.

  6. The most useful thing to come out of this workshop for me was definitely the advice I got on how to tone my personality down a little bit and how to stay on topic, I definitely needed to hear that.

  7. The most useful thing to come from this workshop was getting feedback from other people, especially those who do not listen to the genre that my blog focuses on, so they are forming completely new opinions and judgments with no prior knowledge to the music discussed on the blog.

  8. It was really helpful to get multiple point of views. They gave me new ideas on my concepts that I never would have thought of. They also helped me with grammar and over all layout of my blog.

  9. I liked seeing what my peers actually thought of my post because I wasn't sure how I was coming across. The most useful piece of advice I got was to be more specific about my music choices. I thought I talked about it but I now realize that I wasn't fully clear and didn't get my point across as I hoped I would.

  10. The most useful thing to come from this workshop was definitely hearing feedback on the jumpiness of my blog, If You Are. Looking back, I can definitely see how I went back and forth on some topics. Revising that and making the post flow a little better will definitely make the whole piece more cohesive and easier for the reader to stay with.

  11. I thought that the most useful part was getting other peoples opinions on my main idea and voice. I struggled keeping a consistent voice so they helped me with ideas on how I could do this. It was also good to see how they were able to achieve things in their blogs that I wasn't able to in mine. It gave me ideas as well as let me see what works and what doesn't. Having someone else tell me what to change was a lot easier than trying to figure it out myself so I actually thought it was very helpful.

  12. The idea that I need to elaborate more on what my genre actually is, and specifically what music fits into it. They gave me the idea to mention specific songs so that readers can get a better idea of what future posts will be like.

  13. The most useful thing was the advice I got regarding the clarification of what qualifies as hitting #2. I also got help regarding the layout of my blog and the process of selecting my albums.

  14. The most useful thing to come out of this workshop is that I got other opinions of my blog. The input they gave me allowed me to fix things within my post that I might not have paid attention to or that I might not have felt were important or vital.

  15. The most useful thing to come from this workshop for me was my group's helping me to define the "hippie music" and "hippiness" I will be writing about. I was having trouble narrowing my topic down and finding my topic's focus, but now I think I have a good idea of what and who exactly I will be writing about in my future posts.

  16. The most useful part of this workshop was being able to hear other people's opinions about my writing. I really enjoyed listening to their edits because I want my blog to be appealing to viewers. Talking in small groups allows for a more personal level which, for me, is really helpful because you can really focus on the nitty gritty critiques.

  17. I got some really great ideas for my blog post! Most of them were ideas that I would never thought of. I got ideas for a color scheme, backgroud images, and how to basically make the layout of my blog more appealing. I also got help on how to reorganize my post to make better sense. The workshop was extremely helpful.

  18. It was good to get a new perspective on my blog and to hear things I would have never thought about. From the feedback I got I can now organize my information better and make it easier for the reader to understand. Now I know how I want to change my blog and the direction I want to go in after hearing opinions on how I should make it better.

  19. The most useful part of this workshop was hearing the opinions of my peers about my writing and how my voice comes across. Sometimes we are unable to know what our writing "sounds like" and it was/is helpful to get a fresh interpretation of our words from others who are seeking the same level of understanding.

  20. The most useful thing to come from this workshop for me was hearing others' thoughts on my blog. This gave me a new perspective and new ideas. When writing my blog, I know that I was "in the zone", and the things that I wrote at the time may not have been received or understood the same way by my audience, so it was good to hear about my blog and to see it from different angles.
